This template was previously used as part of a sequence with {{trans-top}} and {{trans-bottom}} to create translation tables. It was placed roughly in the middle of the list of translations in order to achieve a visually balanced table, such that the two columns are about the same height.

Please note that this is no longer necessary, and that this template now has no effect. It should therefore be removed from any pages which use it.
